Nakamichi 681ZX Discrete 3 Head Cassette Deck Auto Azimuth Alignment

Nice vintage unit. Powers on, fast forward, reverse, and play all function. Meter lights up great. Sounded great when playing. But record does not. My stereo man said multiple issues with record. Has scratch and looks like varnish on top as shown in the photos. Will need cleaned up some , has been in storage.
